During the winter of 2021/22 we carried out a validation study to establish the accuracy of TöltSense’s gait classification. We found there to be better than 99% agreement between TöltSense and a panel of four independent qualified sport judges.
We also investigated how accurate the sensor system is at identifying the hoof-on and hoof-off times. We found the accuracy of inter-limb event timings to be at least as good as the best frame-by-frame analysis you could do using standard video (30 fps).
